  • Converting TS videos with mutiple audio streams

Hi there, I'm using MCEBuddy 1.0.8 and the "H.264 Recommended" profile. I'm using MediaPortal as a recorder tool. I've a bunch of TS recordings on my HDD that contain two language streams (German/English). MCEBuddy only converts the German audio stream. Is it possible to convert...

  • Crop black bars then reize change AR

I just started using MCEBuddy today it is Great! and easy to use. I searched but could not find a post matching my problem. Most of my TV records are 720x480 6 MB/s TV shows in 16x9 images letterboxed on a 4:3 canvas. I would like a profile that will crop the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen...

  • MP4 (h.264) Best Quality Conversion Scenarios

All; As a person who is relatively new to MCEBuddy and transcoding videos I'll apologize up front for not being as knowledgeable as I would like to be. My kids drew me to MCEBuddy after requesting that I put some of their TV shows and Movies on their iPod Nanos. Installing 1.0.8 was straightforward...

  • H.264 conversion profile for YouTube. Delivers TV quality playback.

MCEbuddy rocks for YouTube! I spent the weekend trying to get reasonable video quality playback on YouTube. After a lot of experimentation (using MCEbuddy as my conversion tool), I finally came up with a winner. As some of you may know, YouTube has recently increased the video resolution they allow for...

  • Seemingly function profile for Sony Walkman Video NWZ-A720/NWZ-A820

I'm sure you gurus can make this a lot better, but it's a start. Mostly a butched up hybrid of the 5G iPod and the PSP until it worked. I don't know much about these settings, but every time I tried to deviate from these, things stopped working. I'm not sure what #IPod=yes does, but it's...

  • I got Sansa View working!!!!

I spent a few hours today getting a working config for the Sansa View mp3 player. the scale and crop might need a little tweeking to taste. below is the bit you need to add to the mencoder.conf file located in the c:/program files/Tyrell/MCEBuddy/mplayer/ folder. • Re: Mpeg2 Mencoder Profile

It all depends on how the files are being fed into the PS3. If they are being streamed over the network via a UPNP server of some sort, it has been my experience that the DLNA standard is not always adhered to by various servers. This can result in perfectly good files not showing up or being recognised...

  • Re: Best possible quality for PSP

I was wondering the same thing actually. What i found is that the PSP actually supports full resolution (480x272) h.264 encoded video as of PSP firmware 3.30. Firmware before that did **NOT** support the higher res videos natively. The default profiles in mencodr/MCEBuddy are for spec'd for the older...

  • Re: Adding new profile

gandrew and CAG are right. Here's what I've found... If you run your text editor as admin, then vista will allow you to save your changes to the file under c:\program files\Tyrell\MCEBuddy\mplayer. And MCEBuddy will see the changes. If you do NOT run the text editor as admin, then vista uses...

  • What does the #IPod=yes profile option do?

What specifically does the #IPod=yes profile option do? make the file ipod compatible? quicktime compatible? does it affect the encoding? or only the muxing? and how exactly? thanks!
